[network] @gardenGnostic; video; FYI trolls are garbage; Day 88 [open]
[ Well, Vriska got right down to business being terrible. Jade figures she should warn everyone to expect similar bullshit in the future, so in true PSA form she's talking to the camera; her dog ears are held back in distress. ]
Hi, everyone. So... what happened yesterday was awful-- what happened to Vriska, I mean. I guess I wanted to explain why she would agree to be... you know, murdered. On camera. [ Insert long-suffering sigh here. ]
You've probably noticed that she is not human. She belongs to a species called trolls, and they are, um, pretty messed up; that stunt she pulled might even be tame by their standards. Violence is basically a troll's first response to a problem, in excess. They're melodramatic like that. [ She makes a huffing noise that was supposed to be a humorless laugh. ]
Oh, and there are two more here; you might want to avoid them if you're squeamish. I doubt they will pick any fights with other species, though, so don't worry about anyone... else coming after you. Just be careful not to become collateral damage.
And look out for the horns, I guess.

Someone I knew used to say that's how the world was too. He was wrong, but it took him a long time to see it.
[A long time, and a lot of hurt. All of this just seems so insane. Frisk can't even imagine Toriel or Asgore trying to encourage that sort of thing in other monsters.]
Where I come from, there's monsters. Not the anomalies here. LOVE's really really bad for them. [oh right] The acronym kind.
[And consequently is in fact very much frowned upon.]

The acronym kind of LOVE is bad for everyone, I think. Do you mean they are frail?
1/2
I hope so.
[At the question though... Frisk freezes a little. With Jack's threat hanging over all their heads...]
@determination, voice; private
Sorta, yeah. They're... they're different than humans. [They hesitate, very uncomfortable.] The more you want to hurt them, the more you do.
permaprivate!
[ Oh. Phew. ]
Okay, so it's a magic thing? [ Jade uses 'magic' as a word for things human science hasn't quantified yet. There's a natural phenomenon in this kid's world that makes monsters (which are possibly a species-- if she knew monsters were diverse enough to include, say, goats and skeletons, she would guess family instead) susceptible to murderous intent? Sounds legit! She's on board, and kind of touched that they would trust her with this information. ]
Don't worry, I will not tell anyone. [ She wonders if monsters would still have this weakness when any special abilities have been removed, but isn't too keen on finding out. ] Um... are there any monsters here? You sound worried.
no subject
[They're glad she picked up on that so quickly.
Still, worried is almost an understatement. If they weren't so open about their family on the network already, they'd be more tempted to try to hide it.]
Mom. And Sans.
[Yeah.
....yeah.]
no subject
Are they with you-- er, um. Don't answer that-- if you don't want to, I mean. I just wanted to make sure you know that they are okay. [ Are, not if. ]
no subject
Yeah, we're all safe n' together.
[For now, and Frisk is going to make sure they stay that way.]
We're going somewhere that guy's not supposed to be.
