[ After a day and a half of complete radio silence, Angel and Rhys are back. If anyone was worried about a potential repeat of the whole kidnapping incident, it looks like those worries were unfounded - they both look happy, healthy (ish), and maybe even a little smug. Angel's wearing a flower crown, man, that's about as un-distressed as it's possible to get.
And, you know. Rhys is singing and dancing in the background with Dumpy. That's also a pretty good indicator that they're doing okay. Angel beams at the feed before speaking, clearly EXCITED AS ALL HECKIE: ]
She's a woman! The administrator spoke to us, with her voice, and she's a woman! She didn't even sound robotic - which doesn't mean she isn't an AI, of course, but ones that can imitate human cadence and tone in their speech tend to be more human in other ways, too. As in they tend to have feelings and emotions! So even if she isn't human, she's definitely a person. And a woman! We called it!
[ She pauses, shooting an excited look back at Rhys. Her brief silence makes it a lot easier to hear what he's singing - this, for anyone who might recognise it. He sings pretty well! It just sucks that Dumpy's enthusiastic screaming is drowning out a lot of it. Angel snorts, looking back at the tablet. ]
Um, yes. What... what they said. And now we know she's a person, I think... I mean, I'm pretty sure that she needs rescuing even more than we do. Right?

but more to the point, what do you mean by the administrator needing rescue more than we do?

And I think the admin being in need of rescue is a pretty logical conclusion to draw. A while ago she said something interesting to me. I asked why she didn't respond when me and some friends asked her for help - we were under siege by monsters! People died and everything. (๑◕︵◕๑)
She told me that she didn't have permission. Which implies that she wanted to help and couldn't, right?
So whether she's an AI with restrictions on her programming or a human, it sounds like she isn't in a position to be able to act as she wishes. So if we help her, perhaps she'll be able to help us!
(And we should help her anyway, because she's a really nice person)

but if the admin is a flesh-and-blood person, that raises a lot of questions
i mean you cant just program a person to not do things like an ai!
and people need things like food to stay alive
which would raise even more questions about how she is getting them!!
unless she is a ghost or something
i dont suppose you are making plans to confirm whether or not she is an ai?

Imagine that someone has you captive (not a stretch right now, I know), and they want you to do something. You're in their power, so you might already be inclined to do as they say.
If not, they could do several things! Cut off your supplies, for example, or threaten to hurt you (;╹⌓╹) And if that didn't work, they could threaten someone or something that you love!
After being coerced for a while, it's not even unusual to come round to your captor's way of thinking. You don't question things. Doing as you're told just becomes second nature.
But anyway, that's all moot if she IS an AI (a fully intelligent and emotional one, of course)! Which is pretty likely.
It would be hard to confirm whether she is or not without more information. The kind that would possibly be obtained by another hacking attempt, which we are not going to do! Because we were told not to. (｡•̀ᴗ-)✧

and that is quite different from being really, REALLY advised against it!
