so i visited andromedas place again since she dropped some info on me before
i told her about whats been going on recently from the escher dreams up to the anomalies that were just following us
and asked her about the lights and why she and samantha were trying to help each other
she didnt answer things directly
but i did get an sd card from her with this on it

[The message has been uploaded to the public data record, but he copypastes it here:]

"I have to keep going. This part of the town is so dangerous, the people here are the worst affected, but I have to keep going through, or Winter died for no reason.

I told Samantha which buildings to avoid, and she told me to avoid the church and the high school.

I can fix this."

it kinda falls in with the audio file i found before
the one where she was telling winter that the cultists didnt know what they were doing and she could fix it
and both watson and i talked to the admin recently too
she told me she didnt have any recordings of the whole turning into monsters thing
and when watson asked it turns out we just looked like usual
like people
not the things we turned into
and suggested that it was mn poisoning making us see shit
we already know mn poisoning fucks people up from what happened to jia xu
but the other part of this is obviously places to look out for and be careful about
the high school hasnt been found yet has it
and im guessing the church is separate from the chapel if people havent found anything unusual there

im going to be scooting along to my last stop for the night but if yall got extra thoughts slap em down

much as it pains me to say it even if those places are more dangerous they're probably also the places we wanna go to if we wanna know more about what happened to the town. maybe even more on those cultists and whatever.

[ Worst case scenario, one of those places end up being the resting place for Andromeda, too. Just because she was told to avoid them doesn't mean she couldn't have been dragged there unwillingly. But/// it's all up in the air at the moment. ]

sane people would stay back
but being brave and stupid nets the reward
hopefully without death in the process but no promises
i wouldnt be surprised
just be careful anyway when you find them

you know in retrospect it's kinda funny to think of tiny metal spiders just sewing up your old beat up shirt. or maybe I'm just finally cracking. it's probably a bit of that.

but anyway yeah. I'll be careful. don't really feel like almost dying again. it's not a fun experience. I better not find you in a morgue around here either. the more you do the lower your chances of revival are.

I'm glad that she at least seems to still be trying to help, and maybe we'll be able to find the high school or church when we finally find a way to get over or through these scrap walls.

[Audio is pretty easy to answer, better than typing while out in the cold, not that it always stops him. He goes along with it for now. His voice is tired, but he talks just fine despite it.]

'Sup, Al. Andromeda's my home dog; I knew she'd share some info if I sat and chatted at her. And also literally asked her to help, but y'know, I dumped the info first. I found a blanket there, too. Now I've got two and I'm as toasty as a bird gets this side of the oven.

Still haven't found your way through, huh? I'm going to finally be making my way east after this, but it'll still be a while before I get there. Should I be keeping an eye out for anything on the way to help? Supply or tool-wise.

I just babbled a bunch of stuff at her about everything that's gone down from those first Escher dreams on. Pointed out stuff I was wondering, asked her help with the promise we can fix this better if she keeps helping us, that kind of thing.

But nah, I'm pretty sure we're going to have to check those out. They might still be dangerous somehow, so I'd say watch your back to whoever gets there, but there's bound to be something to learn from them.

Andromeda seems to like details. Maybe she can't monitor us like the Admin's doing, if she's still around in some capacity. Wherever she might be, I bet she's feeling bored and helpless like the rest of us. I'd like some details myself.

You're right about the locations. If they're where things really deteriorated, there must be a reason. Plus, the whole 'prophet' thing fits right in with a church. Guess we have those nightmares to look forward to. At least it sounds like we're making some progress.

The other thing I have to wonder is what part of town she was in when she made that recording. It doesn't seem like it would be the residential area. There's barely any evidence of the cult there, while there's far more once you get to the apartments and the industrial area.

So, did she leave the recording where you found it later? Or did she or something move it there?
