It'd at least be a way to check if old blood is still viable
presumably the nanites are designed to operate in certain conditions
the ones in our bodies probably aren't equipped to deal with being frozen
which is why you can still freeze to "death" if you get locked out overnight
they're tolerant to a point
you're not likely to get frostbite here
even though all of us should probably be suffering from it
probably don't have to worry about sepsis, though
and if you do
that would be interesting, at least
