I did cheat. If I didn't turn myself into a sprite, I would have wound up dead somehow. Stuff sourced from doomed timelines doesn't last, and the way it worked in this case is only because it made a stable time loop. Our whole session ran on stable loops like that. I'm not going to pretend it's straightforward; the way things worked out depended on a lot of breaking the rules of how a typical session is meant to happen.
