[ Jim ignores the hand for a second too long. He's not even looking at Zell, just staring at the opposite wall blankly as his mind tries, and fails, to run over the situation. It keeps shying away from the enormity of it, so Jim shoves one hand in his pocket to brush against the rock - something to ground him - before he takes Zell's hand and pulls with just enough force to bring him to his feet.
