[ Steph has been able to recover enough dignity after the morning to allow herself to be seen on video. She's wearing the mask over her face and the lighter purple hood of her hoodie over a second purple hood.

She pulls the mask down before speaking, having forgotten to do that first. There's confusion and worry on her face as the group moves through the snow. ]

Hey. Does anyone know where Alvin Draper is, or what's happened to him? I can't find any activity from his account in the last ten days, but his name isn't in the obituaries.

I assume they know everything there is to know about every one of us. Probably physical examinations, too. God only knows what else they've done to us. I'm just concerned about what might be happening to him right now, and whether or not I can make it stop.

Just because he won't remember it later doesn't mean he isn't suffering right now. I don't want him to be suffering, not if I can do something about it.

Not out of the question, no. I was just hoping someone might have seen him, to at least give me someplace to start. In ten days he could have gotten anywhere.

He's from Gotham. We went to the same skate park. [ She has no idea if he'll know what that is, but it should get the idea across. They have a casual connection, but it's enough to make her feel responsible for him.

He added to my map before he went incommunicado. There's also the places were people revive and where they keep the bodies. I was going to start with the closest and work my way west.

[He opens up the map and quickly finds the coloured squares that indicate where roughly he had been before he went missing.]

That's what I was thinking. We've got enough mapped out of the route that we should be able to make good time.

If we start by going due west, we can pick up more supplies in the store on the way. That way we'll have enough to share with him if... [He's in trouble.] ...he needs anything.

idk, what could they really do that they can't do right now if they choose to? They can give us shots whenever they want. It could be educational.

Maybe we should stop by the vet, see what medical supplies we can salvage. I wasn't really looking to stock up last time I was there.

I found a couple of bottles of prescription mess last time I was there, but it seems like items shift around when nobody's there. I always find new things in buildings I've searched already.

[Finding new things in old buildings is a titbit of knowledge that he stores away for future use, but he's focused mainly on a route for now.]

The vet's office is all the way south-east, way out of our path for looking for your friend. I think it would take too long to get there and then back, it might make the trail colder. We should strike west and get more food, and then we can always head for the vet's office when we've found him.

[ She nods her understanding. Looking at the map, it wouldn't even be a detour - just straight backtracking. They'll lose a lot of time, which may be important. Maybe she can find some things at the convenience store to use. ]

We never did find the hospital.

It has to be here somewhere, people have said they've visited... maybe to the north east? That seems to be the only place we haven't covered properly.

[More places to investigate when they don't have a mission.]

Could be... We need to fill in these big gaps. [ She points out the largest offenders. ] Especially if there are places to spend the night.

Yeah. Now that we've found the store, we can work on a more organised search pattern. We can travel in a grid pattern, always returning here after a few days to resupply.

I can't help you with where he is, but if his name wasn't in the obituaries, then he's probably fine. I mean, he could have, uh, lost the tablet? Broken it? I don't know, that could happen.

It'll go faster if we can go in groups. But we'll worry about that later, after we find Alvin.

[ She barely even knows the boy, but she feels responsible for him. And she was so happy when he showed up, just to have somebody to talk to and flirt with, somebody from the 'real' world. She doesn't want to let that go.

And maybe she feels a little guilty, letting him be invisible and forgotten for ten whole days. ]

That's not exactly what I would call comforting, honestly. It's dangerous to be isolated in a place like this.

Yeah. I don't think anyone should be here for too long without talking to someone. I mean... [He doesn't say it, doesn't put to words the claustrophobic feeling he's sometimes getting, when he's travelled days by himself and hasn't talked to anyone on the network, not to mention the paranoia, the feeling that someone's watching, that he just can't trust anyone... and if this guy's been without any contact to anyone all those days, well, Stiles thinks they should probably pray for his mental health.]
