Destroy it? I guess I could light it on fire... But what if it turns out we need these ones, too?

Also, an awful lot of people seem to think these dolls are connected to the people they represent. Some kind of effigies? But it's not as if destroying a portrait would also destroy the person painted. Am I missing something here?
