The watch tumbled from Mohinder's fingers as he stood there, looking at Zane-- At Sylar, as if he had two heads. That really wouldn't be any stranger than this moment. For days now they had suffered so much together. They had huddled against each other for warmth, they had laughed to try and keep their spirits up, and they had worked hard to get to this point, to try and save themselves and everyone else in this horrible, God-forsaken town.

"Why?"

Mohinder's voice was a muffled whisper. How could Zane have come to his rescue if he was Sylar? He felt more confused than he had been before. And that was saying a lot. This place brought out the worst in everyone.

"Why would you possibly go to the lengths you have been if..." His eyes widened. Ah, understanding. There is was. "You're after the research." He backed up against the table. Anger flooded him, making his hands shake.
