[log] Event: Lavender's Green, Part Two [open]
Characters: everyone
Location: mysterious, white hallways
Date: Day 193-194
Summary: Find friends. Get lost. Don't look.
Warnings: Potential for gore and psychological horror. Please note any specific warnings in your subject lines!
While confusingly similar, the area is split into a few different sections:
The Core
The hallways here are narrow and twist at a rapid rate. With how dazzlingly white everything is, it's easy to not realize you're coming on a turn and slam right into the walls. There are no rooms here--no one starts here, though they may find it while they wander. At the center is a large, round area, like the center of a spiral. There's a lot of air pressure here.
The Inner Hallways
The largest area, filled with dead ends, gentle slopes and twists, and, occasionally, difficult-to-see drops where a higher hallway intersects with a lower one without a wall to separate them. The whole place tastes vaguely like blood. Most rooms are here--most people start here.
The Outer Hallways
The outer ring of the ball of yarn. It's not as thick with halls and twists as the other two areas, leading to a lot more boring walking in one direction. It's totally possible to circle around the same path multiple times without realizing it, as everything is so similar here. Occasionally, footsteps can be heard just outside the farthest walls. Sometimes, something breathes. There are a few rooms here--some people will start here.
Remember to note what kind of eyes your character has in their top level!

A
Al comes barrelling around the corner as fast as his noodle legs will let him, huge grin all over his face despite the situation they've found themselves in.]
Brother!
no subject
no subject
It reminds him so forcibly and suddenly of Nina that it nearly makes him sick, coming to a sudden halt to look towards the wall.]
...who's there?
no subject
Ed closes the distance between himself and his brother cautiously but quickly, eyes looking toward the wall the sound came from.]
Stay away from the wall, Al. Whatever that is, I think it's been there a while. [he's heard SOMETHING breathing, after all.]
no subject
Stay uh-way. Al. Al. Al. Al. Al. Al.
no subject
You can come out.
[Whatever this is, they need to see it.]
We won't hurt you.
no subject
Al how do we know this isn't going to want to hurt us? Our intentions won't matter either way.
[But he doesn't contradict Al's invitation, none the less.]
no subject
Al. Al. Al. [Scratch, scratch, scratch.]
no subject
[He's not just going to abandon someone-- something-- possibly in distress.]
Can you hear me? Al-- that's right, Al is my name, and this is my brother, Ed. Do you have a name?
no subject
I don't think they're going to do anything more than repeat what we've said. [he reaches up to settle a gloved hand on the wall anyway, a frown on his face.] If they can do anything else at all.
no subject
no subject
[He freezes in place as he's touched by something, eyes tilting upward towards the ceiling to try and find the owner of those arms. His own arm comes up to try and keep Ed from intervening rashly. The hands aren't hurting him, nor do they seem aggressive.]
R-Right, that's me. Are you going to come all the way down where we can see you?
no subject
Al... dammit, this is really stupid! [he hisses the words out rather than outright yelling, his hands lowering as he looks upward at the ceiling apprehensively. With the thing's hands on his brother's face, he doesn't want to startle it.]
no subject
For an instant, Alphonse sees something that isn't there. He's in the dark, chasing fireflies that flicker and glow. Whenever he catches one, he crushes it between his fingers. It bleeds like a human would.]
Ed. [The hands extend to Edward now, to grip his face and leave Alphonse to think about what he saw.]
no subject
What-- what are you trying to show us? Wait! Please, come down, talk to us.
no subject
Woah, no thanks pal, I'm not interested! [He lifts his flesh and bone arm up to bat away one of the limbs coming towards him as a new wave of panic rises from the depths of his gut. No. Nuh-uh. No way.]
no subject
Its grip is very strong. If Ed pulls too hard on his arm, he may hurt himself.]
no subject
[Al's voice, which had been soothing and kind, becomes much sterner in that moment.]
He said no. We want to help-- we want to talk to you, but not like this. Let go!
[He moves forwards to help try and tug one of the arms off.]
no subject
Al stop! You're going to get yourself hurt, dammit! Please! [the under current of panic and concern over his brother's state of being is first and foremost on his mind in this instant. Ed has no trust for whatever this thing is, and while it didn't physically hurt Al before, he doesn't put that kind of violence past whatever this was.]
no subject
no subject
You think I'm just going to leave you? Idiot!
[He thought they'd had that argument before.]
Here... take hold of my hand, I'll pull you free.
no subject
Yeah, yeah. I get it, Al. It's just... [Al might not be helpless but can you really blame Ed for worrying? (Al you got excited about cut up feet for one???) He attempts to pull his arm again, gently this time, his gaze flickering back to the hand that had been approaching his face one more time.] Yeah, we're brothers. Glad you noticed.
no subject
no subject
You what? Come on, please, talk to us. You don't want to hurt us, you want to help us.
no subject
Even if he still thinks calling out to this thing was a stupid, horrible idea. He's been proven right on that one.]
What did it do to you before, Al? Was that helping? [he shoots a brow raised "WELL WAS IT" expression to the bodyless armhands. This has gone from horrifying to awkward pretty fast.]
