Okay, so if I'm getting this, you're a computer copy of someone else. Their memories and personality. Kinda creepy. Why you the person you were copied from?

I'm a backup of a hard AI. I've always been an AI, even before I was dead, but before I was an AI that could understand things.

Listen, a while back - before you started talking to us - there were these
[ Long pause, because seriously. ] Possessions. I didn't believe in ghosts before I got here, but it was like we were talking to dead people in other peoples' bodies. Andromeda was one of them - I talked to her about being in space before I realized what she was. There were others, too - like Shelley Derricks.

If Andromeda's an AI like you, does that mean she was connecting to someone's brain? Moving them around like the tablets did to us a few days ago?

I can't explain what happened there. It makes no sense to me. I assume it must have been something related to one of her backups. Maybe wifi interference.

If it had to do with her backups, what about the other people? Were they backups too? Is it possible to back up an organic person?

I suppose in theory you could scan their brains. I'm not sure if it's ever been done.

Pretty sure @admin is pulling data out of our heads and so did you. She used it to make those anomalies that looked like people from home. You used it to erase them. I've got a hole in my memory and so does everyone else. So my question is - was that memory deleted? Or did it get stored somewhere?

There should be a copy somewhere, at the very least.
