[It's honestly a relief when Davesprite drops the subject. Beckett wasn't looking to get into a conversation about Caine. There are few things by now that are still too much for him to go into unprepared, but this is one.]
An ambiguous term in the Book of Nod. We aren't altogether certain whether its current usage corresponds to what is suggested therein. The term indicates a state of enlightenment in which a vampire has fully gained comprehension of, and control over their nature, and is no longer subject to its darker urges. I have met with a few who claim to be in this state, and can credit some of the claims - they are extraordinary beings - but we cannot truly know if this is the salvation the Book implies.
