Good morning, everyone. I told a number of people I would share the results of my conversation with the Admin, Eve, regarding her ability to correct 'mental imbalances' that might lead to violent impulses. I thought it best to provide what information I got from her with the whole group.

The upshot of that:

Eve can 'fine tune' the nanites in our brains for a particular purpose. This will have no effect on MN poisoning symptoms except to make people not care about them.
Use of the treatment requires patient consent. That's non-negotiable given the requirements for a declaration of mental incompetency under the NIMA system.
While the fine tuning is considered an ethical treatment in extreme cases of violent psychopathy, it is considered unethical to try to treat MN Poisoning.
We may be able to alleviate some of the worst instances of MN Poisoning with blood transfusions. I'm presently looking for the equipment I'd need to do that.
Eve was born in Washington D.C. and used to work for the U.S. government.

As an additional note on medical supplies: I've informed the other doctors, but for those newly arrived and those seeking medical assistance, we are beginning to run low on certain medication types.

The relative medical stocks stand as such:

Low-grade Painkillers: Low
Mid-grade Painkillers: Acceptable, restock requested
High-grade Painkillers: Acceptable
Specialized Medication: Acceptable
Radiation Medication: Critically low

I've also been previously informed that the emergency medical response injections are out and will take 200 days to restock. That was at a point that would put us past the projected end of this session... or whatever we're calling out time here.

He killed someone I was meant to meet up with and protect. That makes him my responsibility. He's also in the possession of someone I happen to want to keep safe, as well.

I'm not Alphonse. I'm not planning to go track him down and watch him like a hawk. I'm just not going to let him think he can cow me, or any of the people here.

He already tracked you down once, doctor, and now you're seriously injured. Antagonizing him isn't going to get you anywhere.

He didn't track me anywhere. We ran into one another by accident. And I haven't got any other women I'm in love with for him to murder. So, I'd say he hasn't got much going there for him, either.

I'm sorry about Fiona, John. I really am, but you can't underestimate how much worse men like the Joker can make things for you.

You haven't got much faith in Batman's ability to hold him, have you?

[It's not an accusation, just an observation. John doesn't have a lot of faith, either. A part of him wants the Joker to escape... it might give him an excuse to take the man down, himself.]

I don't know anything about Batman, so I'm preparing for the worst case scenario. This town is unpredictable in any case, so even if he does manage to hold the Joker, something beyond his control might allow him to escape.

If he comes near me, I'll be ready for him and how he fights this time.

[You know... as he falls over and wheezes in the Joker's general direction. John's just going to ignore how banged up he is right now.]

Bucky has been carrying you, John.

He wouldn't take 'no' for an answer when I told him I didn't want to be carried. He doesn't move me around inside.

[Granted, John doesn't do a lot of moving around inside, either. But he can do it.]

Don't be stubborn. You wouldn't last in a fight right now, and you know it.

I'd give him something to remember me by if it came down to it.

And what will that accomplish?

Me not just going quiet in the night? I'm not going looking for him at the moment, Ms. Romanov, but if he comes at me, I'm either going to be killed or give him a fight and be killed. I'd rather it be the latter.

My point, doctor, is that you should avoid giving him a reason to go after you at all.

He already has a reason.

Let him trail after Batman like an obsessive, insane puppy.
You do not want to be any more a part of this than you already are.

I know, John. We all are. All of us are out of our depth.

And I'm sorry about Fiona. I truly am. I know how difficult it is to lose someone you love to something so violent and senseless, but we want you to take care of yourself, too.
