Characters: Toriel, Frisk, Sora, Angel & Rhys Location 129 & 126 Date: Days 132-133 Summary: A monster family encounters a few dorks whilst they wander. Warnings: Will be updated as needed.
Frisk freed us. [She offers the short answer, looking to Frisk again. This story belongs wholly to her child.
She knows pieces, akin to a patchwork quilt slowly coming together she's learning more of what happened after she said goodbye to them back then.] Every monster now lives on the surface after centuries of being confined to the mountains.
[There's the tiniest of flinches, a sudden, subtle tightness to their expression as she credits them. Normally they're better at hiding it, but their filters have been more difficult to keep up here.
It also makes it that much harder to really think about how to tell the story. So they don't.]
Yeah, it was a long journey and um... I let lots of people, but we did it. [We.] And um... Asgore, he's the king, he asked me to be the ambassador for humans 'n monsters, so the fighting won't start again.
[Sora's curious. Really curious and it's taking all the self control he has not to blurt out a thousand questions at once.
Because the looks on their faces...
He offers up a soft smile instead, something proud and truly pleased all at the same time.]
I bet you're really good at it, too. From the sounds of it, you're a natural at helping others so something like that is probably easy as pie for you, Frisk!
[She saw the flinch, mentally filing that away for later to check on Frisk properly. The most pressing matter how is the itch in the back of her throat.
Toriel shifts away slightly to cough into her hand for a moment, not wanting to interrupt. When it winds down she speaks.] Frisk is a very good ambassador. Though they need to remember to take breaks here and there.
