Aww come on, it wasn't THAT bad traveling with us. What about all the good times?

Even good things must come to an end someday, cupcake. I need my independence.

And after we had such a nice dinner last night too.

[A nice dinner of canned...something.]

Not the nicest dinner I've ever had, to be honest. Maybe you should try a little harder next time.

I believe your thanks are misdirected, and you don't seem to understand why you were in that situation in the first place.

I believe you are a moron, and you don't seem to understand anything about the whole situation.

[personal profile] warriorscribe 2016-04-01 05:48 am (UTC)(link)
Then what is your understanding of it?

[No doubt skewed to make himself the "hero" he claimed himself to be when he first arrived.]

I got captured because I had the audacity to put the goal of getting all of us out of here above the lives of individual people. And just in case you're preparing to give me a lecture on how weh weh you should try literally everything else before resorting to violence oh no Jack you are so awful? Already been given it. Roughly a dozen times. And it's still wrong.

[Skewed to make himself the "hero", yes. So predictable.]

A "hero" to whom lives are so readily expendable is no hero at all. Your goal is to get yourself out of this place. And if you would say I am wrong, consider whether or not you would accept your own sacrifice if it meant the escape of everyone else.

So by your definition you can only be a hero if you die? That's pretty reductive. You can't always sacrifice yourself in a big gesture to save everyone else. Sometimes you have to make tough choices to save as many as you can.

You're deliberately reading things I never wrote. My implication is a true hero would sacrifice himself if it came to it, and I highly doubt you would.

Secondly, I might believe you made what you thought was a "tough choice" if it wasn't your first. Again, a hero does not consider lives expendable.
